Terms of Service

Last updated: August 21, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sodium Tools (tools.sodiumlearn.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Sodium Tools are provided by Sodium Learn Ltd. (“we”, “us”, “our”).

2. Description of Service

Sodium Tools provides free browser-based utilities for working with SCORM packages:

  • Converters — Transform PowerPoint (.pptx) and PDF files into SCORM packages.
  • HTML to SCORM — Package HTML content as a trackable SCORM lesson.
  • Validator — Check SCORM packages for manifest, launch file, and version issues.
  • Viewer — Preview SCORM packages directly in your browser.

Some tools process files entirely in your browser (validator, viewer, HTML converter). Converter tools send your file to our server for processing and automatically remove it after the SCORM package is generated.

3. Acceptable Use

You may use Sodium Tools for personal, educational, or commercial purposes. You agree not to:

  • Upload files that contain malware, viruses, or harmful code.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to our infrastructure.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from the service itself.
  • Resell or redistribute access to the service without written permission.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all files you upload. We do not claim any rights to your content.

Files processed by our converter tools are stored temporarily on our server solely to produce the SCORM package. They are automatically deleted after the package is generated and available for download. We do not access, read, or analyse the content of your files.

Files processed entirely in your browser (validator, viewer, HTML converter) never leave your device.

5. Output

The SCORM packages you download are yours to use, distribute, and upload to any LMS. We place no restrictions on how you use the output.

6. Intellectual Property

The Sodium Tools website, its design, branding, and underlying software are owned by Sodium Learn Ltd. and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any license to our trademarks, logos, or proprietary technology.

7. Service Availability

We aim to provide uninterrupted access but do not guarantee that the service will always be available, error-free, or secure. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sodium Learn Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use it, which is zero for free tools.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements, that results will be accurate or reliable, or that errors will be corrected.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us at legal@sodiumlearn.com.
